PRIMARY PLANTERS MAKE THEIR MARK AT THE VIEWS
Primaries One and Two from Saline Primary School became landscape gardeners for the day, courtesy of Allanwater Homes!
The children were invited to design and plant out an area of the showhome gardens at Allanwater’s development in the village, called The Views.
Accompanied by teacher Erin Lindsay, the children had fun donning high visibility vests and wellies. Armed with their miniature tools, they created a bright and welcoming display for showhome visitors using colourful bedding plants.
After a snack and a drink, they were all given a goodie bag to take away.
As Allanwater Homes Sales and Marketing Manager, Sharron McCarthy revealed, the showhome, the five bedroom Grampian, has actually been entered into a prestigious property competition.
“Our thanks go to the children and their teacher for making the time to come along today to plant out this area for us,” she said. “This showhome will shortly be visited by a group of judges from a national newspaper, as it has been entered into a Best Showhome category. The front garden now looks lovely and bright and welcoming. We hope that they like it as we will put up a sign to say that it was designed and planted by Saline Primary School.”
“Rather than present the judges with the usual style of showhome garden, we wanted to do something a bit different, and involve the local community in doing so, as the development is very much a part of Saline now, bringing new families to the area.”
Finished Sharron: “It’s been great fun to host the children in this learning experience, which was also a morning of fresh air for them. It’s a really busy time of the year with the school summer holidays coming up, so we really appreciate the school fitting this in for us.”
The Views offers a range of three, four and five bedroom eco-friendly properties, including split-level villas and bungalows, with many designs exclusive to the development. Prices are from £162,995.
The showhome and Sales Office is open to visit Thursday to Monday 11am – 5.30pm.
